For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to the individual newsletter recipients, but it is neither our intention nor that of MailChimp to observe individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users. a) Google Analytics We use Google Analytics
, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter referred to as “Google”) on our website.

– Name and version of the browser used – Operating
system of your computer – Website from which access is made (referrer URL)
– IP address of the requesting computer

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

b) Google Remarketing We use the remarketing
function of Google Analytics to direct advertising campaigns – including Google AdWords campaigns – to visitors to our website.
Based on your previous visits to our website, you will be presented with relevant advertisements when you visit other websites of the Google Display Network.
The DoubleClick cookie enables Google to display targeted advertising to us and other third parties that correspond to the interests determined on the basis of your previous visits to our website and/or other websites. These advertisements may be displayed on websites of Google and/or other operators of the Google advertising network. We also use the Google Analytics advertising functions to analyze the effectiveness of our own advertising campaigns.
You can personalize your Google ad settings and opt out of interest-based ads from Google. In this case, the cookie ID of the DoubleClick cookie (assigned individually for each cookie) is overwritten and can no longer be associated with a specific browser.
If you delete all cookies from your device, a new DoubleClick cookie may be placed. In this case, you may need to renew your objection settings. You can permanently deactivate the DoubleClick cookie by downloading and installing the corresponding browser plug-in here: http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. You can disable the use of third-party cookies for the purpose of online advertising on the U.S. website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/.
If you have consented in your Google account to your web and app browsing history being linked to your Google account and information from your Google account being used to personalize ads, Google will use data from you together with Google Analytics data to create audience lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google Analytics first collects Google-authenticated IDs for you as a user on our website, which are linked to your Google account. Subsequently, Google Analytics temporarily links these IDs with Google Analytics data in order to optimize our target groups.
Please click here for an overview of data protection at Google.
c) Google AdWords We use Google AdWords
, an online advertising program from Google Inc., on our website. Conversion tracking is also used for this purpose. With this tool, Google AdWords sets a cookie on your device when you come to our website via a Google advertisement.
The cookie is no longer valid after 30 days. It is not used for personal traceability. If you visit our website as a user and the cookie is still working, it will be recognizable to us together with Google that you have clicked on the corresponding ad and have been redirected to our site. Each Google AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies are therefore not traceable via the websites of AdWords customers.
The data collected by conversion cookies is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers. As customers of Google AdWords, we learn the total number of users who reacted to our ad and were then redirected to a website that was provided with a conversion tracking tag. During this process, we do not receive any information with which we could personally identify you as a user.
If you reject the tracking process, the Google conversion tracking cookie can be deactivated via your Internet browser.
If necessary, use the browser’s help function for more information. For more information on Google’s privacy policy, please visit http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

In addition, Google AdSense also uses web beacons, invisible graphics that enable Google to analyze clicks on our website, traffic on it and similar information.
The information obtained via cookies and web beacons, your IP address and the delivery of advertising formats are transmitted to a Google server located in the USA and stored there. Google may pass on this collected information to third parties if this is required by law or if Google commissions data processing from third parties. However, Google will not merge your IP address with the other stored data.
In addition, you can prevent the use of cookies if you set this accordingly in your browser. However, this could possibly mean that you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent.
e) Facebook Conversion Pixel
We use the “conversion pixel” or visitor action pixel of Facebook Inc. (1601S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA). By calling up this pixel from your browser, Facebook can subsequently recognize whether a Facebook ad was successful, e.g. whether it led to an online purchase.
We only receive statistical data from Facebook for this purpose, without reference to a specific person. This allows us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. In particular, if you are logged in to Facebook, we also refer to their data protection information https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
You have the option to change your settings on Facebook under https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads or you can click here if you want to revoke your consent to the conversion pixel.
